Important electrical-work notes
Before testing, repairing or modifying the wiring:
- Disconnect the battery earth lead when the procedure requires the circuit to be isolated.
- Confirm connector numbers, wire colours and pin positions on the actual vehicle.
- Use a fused test lead and a suitable multimeter; never bypass a fuse with wire or foil.
- Do not probe ECU, sensor or airbag-related circuits with a conventional test lamp.
- Previous repairs, accessories and model-year changes may mean that your loom differs from the factory diagram.
